Four PhD students from the University of Stellenbosch Business School (USB) in Cape Town, South Africa, share their experience after attending the European Doctoral Programmes Association in Management and Business Administration (EDAMBA) summer school in Soreze, France at the end of July 2011. They were Jako Volschenk, Arthur Linke, George Djolov en Charon Marias. The USB offers a PhD degree and is the first school outside Europe with membership of EDAMBA.</p>

This insert on the University of Stellenbosch Business School (USB) was screened at the Association of MBAs International Conference in Geneva from 25th-27th May 2011. From its inception in 1964, the USB has become a renowned player in the international business school community. Since its humble beginnings with 14 registered MBA students over four decades ago, the USB has expanded to become a fully fledged postgraduate business school with international accreditation, cooperation agreements with various international business schools, and almost one thousand MBA, Master&#8217;s and PhD graduates. Many of the USB&#8217;s alumni have become admired leaders in all spheres of society.</p>
