Semester at Sea, Spring 2011, Heidi, proprietor of Kanonkop Wine Estates carefully teaches us how to properly drink Pinotage wine at the Kanonkop Winery in Stellenbosch, outside of Cape Town, South Africa.

A tribute to the wonderful people I met through this trip and the wonderful times we spent together – fellow study abroad group members from MSU, trip coordinators and family, my host family and friends, other teachers at my school, and last but not least, my students. I have visited the charming and historical towns of Paarl, Stellenbosch and Franschoek.All of them are wine regions which offer the most amazing scenery and are steeped in history dating back to the 1600s ( one of the oldest cementry in South Africa is located in Paarl)…The best South African wines-:)
